Speaker 2:

I thought you're going to be like a triple H style you know, spray or or or Stone.

Speaker 1:

Cold just like you know all over the place. Oh, I can play that game, no problem that's. That's an easy one to play.

Speaker 3:

The Stone Cold one gets a little bit mess, or the triple H, one gets a little bit mess. I do say full disclosure speaking of triple H, like I have recently been listening to his entrance song the game, and that song is an absolute wonderful song and sometimes I'll hit it about three minutes away from work and I walk into work just jazzed up and ready to go. Motorhead killed that shit man.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Nice. It's actually kind of funny that you say that, because remember last week I think you were actually quoting the lyrics from oh yeah. I do that quite often, yeah, and I was literally walking out to work, getting into my car and I started singing the song to myself.

Speaker 3:

It's a banger of a song man.

Speaker 1:

It is. It is Well. Welcome everybody to the show. Welcome, a special welcome to our patrons Jill Grote and Matt Storm. You too can also not the band? Well, the band can as well.

Speaker 2:

Oh, that's only two weeks away.

Speaker 1:

That's two weeks away.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, man, that's exciting.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

I can't.

Speaker 1:

So I told myself I wasn't going to overbook myself. That was a lie.

Speaker 2:

I got a lot of stuff I tried.

Speaker 1:

I have a lot of. I have a lot of invites and I have a lot of meetings. I also got invited to a couple after parties, so I'm super excited about that.

Speaker 3:

That's where the shenanigans happen, mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm, yeah, and you know me, he's going to the.

Speaker 2:

He's going to the. The special he's going to. He's going to, you're going. You were invited to the acclaim after party. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's just in some rundown motel Party with the LJN guys too. Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 3:

That's right, they're like remember back in the days we used to be a studio.

Speaker 1:

Yeah and not anymore. Oh. So yeah, Now I'm excited about that. Anything new with you guys.

Speaker 2:

Before we jump into news headlines, I should say they announced a physical edition of Castle Crashers for the Switch. I was excited about that.

Speaker 1:

That's cool, that's cool.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, new, the new DLC is releasing very soon for Shredder's Revenge and they announced that. Karai is another playable character in addition to you.

Speaker 1:

That's cool.

Speaker 2:

In addition to you, Saguio Jimbo.

Speaker 1:

Yep.

Speaker 3:

I thought you were about to say that they were releasing some DLC for Castle Castle Crashers and I was going to be like what the hell yeah?

Speaker 1:

that would be cool.

Speaker 2:

There was a Texas chainsaw massacre belt in AEW apparently.

Speaker 3:

Really.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, leatherhead came running out because of the game comes out tomorrow on Game Pass.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Leatherhead came running out with a chainsaw.

Speaker 3:

Who was an actual wrestler in all fairness, like used to wrestle Japanese deathmatches and shit like that.

Speaker 1:

Okay, oh Okay, that's interesting.

Speaker 3:

They were getting a lot of heat. Aew was irrelevant but for even putting the match on such sponsorship and apparently AEW got paid a hundred thousand dollars for the sponsorship of it and so like a lot of fans were being like that's only did this stuff for the hundred thousand dollars sponsorship on this, blah, blah, blah and like it turns out like Tony Khan came out and said, yeah, but that hundred thousand dollars is going to help Hawaii. Everybody, shut the hell up pretty damn quick.

Speaker 2:

Hey, that was fast, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Wow, and and. Well, I'll be talking about this, but Vampire survivors came to the switch as well. So how exciting is that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, along with co-op, couch co-op.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's super. I know I want to play that. I want to play that with my son, so All right.

Speaker 2:

Oh, did you see this new walking dead game that they announced?

Speaker 3:

No, is it in the vein of yes, survivors?

Speaker 2:

It's no, no, no, no. It's basically like. I guess it lets you rewrite major events from the show, but okay. It's. It's just, I don't know, it's a walking dead game, but seriously, the graphics that they posted on Twitter and they showed some screenshots and they were getting obliterated, like people were posting that picture of Hagrid from the PlayStation one version of Harry. Potter oh boy this is what it looks like. The graphics like like ps2 era, is giz being generous, oh wow.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's actually a really good segue, mike.

Speaker 3:

And we are going all in on the morning show presentation.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's our segment, our news headline segment fake news. Is it real or is it fake? So the first item I have here, I mean a new walking dead video came, let's play. Rewrite the show story. You asked me what else I know, I know I did, I did so Mike is that true or is that fake news?

Speaker 2:

No, I made up the whole thing. It's fake.

Speaker 1:

We were like working in the same stream there.

Speaker 2:

That's right. Yeah, yeah, this is all work.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, no, it's real, it's weird. It's weird because, like, not only, not only that is like you said about the graphics, but yeah, it's gonna allow you to. Basically, it covers the stories from seasons one to four.

Speaker 3:

So it's based on the TV show, not the comic book. Not to be.

Speaker 1:

It both they said TV show and in the comics. So I'm not sure if they're like combining both of those. I think it's, I think it's, I think it's more from the TV show. But yeah, it's not say.

Speaker 3:

I mean Daryl's in it. That means that it's not based on the comic at all. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, like yeah pullig at me and all that other stuff Yep. That's not the show.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, but I think I I think it's based on the show, but, yeah, you can change, you can basically rewrite the whole show. Well, I don't know, rewrite the whole show, but you can make changes in storylines. So I don't know, it's An interesting premise but doesn't sound like the graphics.

Speaker 3:

I mean it's so. Isn't that it basically what the telltale games did anyways, which were not necessarily based on the comic?

Speaker 1:

or the show. Just yeah, more so, but like my favorite games. Yeah, yeah, it was so good.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, one of the only games that actually made me tear up. Yep, very few games made me tear up, but man man agreed. Oh, that duck. Yeah, I think that was his name, right, yeah, it was.

Speaker 3:

Depending on your choice.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, Wait no.

Speaker 3:

No, he died regardless, I believe okay according to 67% of other players.

Speaker 1:

Oh, tales on the Borderlands, tell, tell, a whole bunch of that. They also did a.

Speaker 3:

Batman one, borderlands one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I feel like there was they did do a guard one too didn't they?

Speaker 3:

yeah, I like those games. Those were fun.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, minecraft, that's right, I forgot about that one yeah it might be the only one I didn't play. Yeah, the Batman one was really good too.

Speaker 2:

I thought those. I like that as well, mm-hmm.

Speaker 1:

The next headline here analysis says that more than 220 digital games will disappear when the Xbox 360 store closes in July of 2024. Phil's that real or fake? I?

Speaker 3:

Know the 360 store is closing in. 220 sounds like sure. Why not have a number? So why not? Yeah, but I think it's only things that aren't backwards compatible that are disappearing. So I don't know. Yeah, let's, yeah, what the hell, why not?

Speaker 1:

Okay, Mike.

Speaker 2:

I'm gonna say it's fake, because I think there's more than 220.

Speaker 3:

That's a good call too.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean, I guess I think it's because of what Phil was talking about, the back luck, backwards compatible. That's why it's at 220. But yeah, it's a real, it's a real news story. So, yeah, I mean, it's we. We just looked at this. What last week or a couple weeks ago? There was some story came out that like 84% of the games that are created are just lost Because there's no Jesus, no history.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah right, but this plays in this show. I Think we, I think we highlighted it, I think we mentioned it a couple. It was like a couple weeks ago, though, phil like it was well back. But yeah, I mean that just plays into it. So July 2024, the 360 store you I don't think it's, I think it's closing that you can buy new games, but I think you can play the games you already have right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you can still play games.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, uh. Netflix finally streaming video games too. Is that real or fake, mike?

Speaker 2:

I'm gonna say fake, because haven't been they. They've been doing this for a while already.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I know in certain areas they haven't doing it for a while not to interject and stomp on your touchdown call.

Speaker 1:

So you're both saying it's fake. Well so here's the thing.

Speaker 3:

It is a true story coming to all markets.

Speaker 1:

Well, it's coming, it's, they're actually beginning and on Monday they're actually gonna have subscribers in Canada, in the UK, will be able to check out Netflix games streamed to select TVs and. Or more markets. I should more markets, yes. So this is their first public test, other called streamed games. So I think they probably had some test out there like but, yeah, my party.

Speaker 3:

California has been doing it for years, really.

Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm. Oh my gosh, that's, that's crazy. Let's see what else do I have here? Oh, I have one more, one more headline here Reggie fees may to deliver packs. West 2023 keynote speak.

Speaker 3:

Speak speech. Hey, speak at the wrong CH. There I did yeah it does sometimes see K, but you know.

Speaker 1:

Is that real or or fake? I?

Speaker 2:

I'm saying that's real only because I heard people talking about it when I went to my local speech easy.

Speaker 3:

I asked my speech and spell yeah, it was fair.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it is. It is a true story. Actually, we had the reported on gamer heads podcast speaking to speaking spells.

Speaker 3:

Did last week's episode ever come out? Yeah, just checking.

Speaker 1:

Did you not listen to it?

Speaker 3:

No, I hate hearing my own voice like I can't just mute myself. I don't. I don't even like the way I sound my head and I like the way they sound outside of my head. I don't know how anybody listens to my voice.

Speaker 1:

I was, so it was. It sounded fine like. As much of the technical difficulties we had last week, it actually came out just fine.

Speaker 2:

So I'll be damned.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. So anyway, all the headlines were real this week, guys, wow. Yeah, yeah, yeah you can work for the Department of Truth? I could. If I yeah, all right. Well then, let's do this.

Speaker 3:

Well, go into the game airplane just been over my house.

Speaker 1:

That's a really fast you speak of airplanes I know it's not gaming related. Do you see that MIG that crashed in Michigan? They had the air show and like a Russian MIG. Yeah, but it was part of an air show. But yeah, it was up these two pilots that were flying in an air show and they're flying a MIG and something happened and they ejected and the plane went into an apartment building. Oh, Jesus yeah, it was crazy.

Speaker 3:

Well, the problem with that is that the Russians fly on the other side of the road. I apologize for half the shit I say, but I'm not going to.

Speaker 1:

Well, let's talk about games we're currently playing. Phil, what games are you currently playing?

Speaker 3:

The main thing that I've been playing is Overwatch 2, and I told you guys that I was going to make a mental note to actually sing the praises of Overwatch 2 this week, because they just launched season 6 last week at this time, which I couldn't really get into, but I've been playing Overwatch since oh hell, season 2 of the very first Overwatch and this is by far and away the most ambitious and biggest addition that they've had to the entire game, now that I've really got my hands on it. They've added a handful of different story mode missions. They added two new maps to the season as well, and both maps are of a different play style than has ever been in the game before, and it's called Flashpoint, which plays a lot like King of the Hill and Gears of War domination in Call of Duty, which has never been done on Overwatch before, which is pretty unique, and actually they just made their way into competitive play today. So, two new maps, new game mode, story modes, new hero as well, as they now have character progression, where the more you play as a character, you unlock specific things for these characters as well, and it also goes class based on that too, depending on Tank Healer and DPS, and there's different unlockables for all of them, which is finally, almost a year later. They've delivered on some of what it is that they've promised. Also, it's pretty well executed, which is pretty awesome.

Speaker 3:

The only problem is with a lot of the unlockables you get through the progression mode. It's all stuff that any of us that have been playing over watch for years we've already got. All of the stuff that's there and some of the titles that you unlock for your character which is always a stupid thing anyways, in my opinion are just super lackluster, like they're all just varieties of the same but with a different name on it. But then there's also just like damage, tier two, and it's just like, oh, great thinking guys, you couldn't have put anybody in charge of coming up with what the second level unlockable is, but I've been super impressed with what they've actually put into this new season six, and that's something I've been able to say about overwatch too at all, with all the amount of time that I've put into it, wow.

Speaker 1:

How many hours do you think you've put into?

Speaker 3:

overwatch in general. I could look it up. I'm gonna imagine it's gotta be close to a thousand at this point and that's no exaggeration, which is the really, really sad part. I'm gonna see. If I can't find it while you guys talk and then I'll just randomly blurt out a number and you guys will look and be like I'm an asshole.

Speaker 1:

I have not played overwatch too, yet it's sitting there, I'm looking at it, it's free, I could play it, but I haven't Alright so the time that they're giving me?

Speaker 3:

see how I just blurredly interjected like I said I would.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, no, I was waiting for you, just to you know, come back with you 67 days, 21 hours and 29 minutes, so that equals 67 times 24 math.

Speaker 3:

Holy shit that's. I'm basically at 1700 hours worth of play time.

Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh, that's crazy.

Speaker 3:

I've played a bit of overwatch in my life. Yeah, I guess so.

Speaker 2:

Good for you, yeah.

Speaker 3:

Oh, it's bad.

Speaker 1:

It's real bad, are you?

Speaker 3:

pro yet no, I'm still the shits. That's the fucked up part. Like I still suck at it. I'm still like a bronze 5 in DPS and tank and every time that I like re-close and bronze 5 is as low as it gets, it's like you were better than 98% of the other people in this tier and it's like, okay, so then why haven't I tiered up yet? I?

Speaker 1:

don't know. The progression system is still broken. I was going to say it sounds like a broken system. Not so much of you, no, no.

Speaker 3:

The progression system is definitely broken as far as that goes. So I don't know what I got to do to tier myself up Like I went 5 and 1 with DPS because they re-rank every 5 matches. I went 5 and 1 the last few times I re-ranked and I'm still sitting at a bronze 5, so I don't know Anything else.

Speaker 1:

Are you playing anything else?

Speaker 3:

No, I really haven't just that in the show and the game that you'll be talking about later.

Speaker 1:

Mike, what have you been playing?

Speaker 2:

So I've been playing some more Fall Guys. I completed the free version of the season Because there were some cool things I wanted to unlock that were free, nothing I wanted to pay for. But I did want to call out that the Ninja Turtles DLC is available today. Oh nice, so you can buy a 2 pack of Donnie and Mike or Leo and Raph they seem to be the designs from this new movie that just came out.

Speaker 3:

Did you guys?

Speaker 1:

watch that yet, by the way. No, I heard good things about it, though I've heard good things too.

Speaker 2:

There's also Bebop and Rocksteady. They're more accessories than they are costumes, so, but still, I played one game today on my break from work and I got a victory. Nice, so I was very proud of that.

Speaker 3:

It was nice, very cool.

Speaker 2:

What else I've been playing? Some more Tears of the Kingdom. There's just so much to do in that flipping game. I get lost Just running around doing stupid things randomly, not even continuing the story.

Speaker 1:

Poor Princess Zelda will never be found.

Speaker 2:

That's right. That means we don't get another sequel. And then the only other game I've been playing is I started getting into well, not started, but I continued playing Dead Cells, so I've been playing a lot of.

Speaker 2:

Dead Cells on the Xbox. It's a good game, as much as I hate that term roguelite, it's a good, like the days winding down. I just want to play a game, but I don't want to do anything story wise, I don't want to get into a whole thing, so I've just played some Dead Cells. Lots of fun. I got this awesome. I don't even know how. What is it pronounced? Skype, skype, skip Sith, whatever? The Grim Reaper uses.

Speaker 1:

I'm a Skype player. Yeah yeah, skype, that's fine.

Speaker 2:

This gigantic Skype that takes up like half the screen when you swing it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

So I unlocked that weapon. I'm like destroying stuff.

Speaker 1:

Nice.

Speaker 2:

You got pretty far, you know, not too bad. I still haven't played any of the DLC.

Speaker 1:

I was going to ask you did you get the Castlevania DLC?

Speaker 2:

Oh, no, no, but I did get that Castlevania Switch version, the physical Castlevania Dead Cells. Oh, as you're going like this, I'm just like.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I thought of a poster.

Speaker 2:

Sorry, I was kind of pointing towards my Switch collection over there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3:

Wow, Holy shit man.

Speaker 1:

What, what? It's amazing.

Speaker 3:

I endorsed his.

Speaker 1:

I didn't say it's not.

Speaker 2:

Oh, you said why yeah you said, it's not, I was disgusted by it.

Speaker 3:

That's because it's a Switch. Hey, you can have many adult games.

Speaker 1:

I endorse your Switch collection, Mike.

Speaker 3:

You would. You're also sitting on a Zelda pillow right now. I'm not, Are you?

Speaker 1:

sure.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm positive, it's Master Chief, oh, okay.

Speaker 1:

Let's have an Xbox pillow instead, cuddling with the Master Chief, it's my Velary pillow actually Illuminati pillow.

Speaker 3:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

What.

Speaker 1:

Castlevania, what are you talking about? The Dead Cells? So the Dead Cells.

Speaker 3:

So it's basically it's Dead Cells.

Speaker 1:

I'm not sure, I'm not sure, I'm not sure, I'm not sure, I'm not sure, I'm not sure, I'm not sure, I'm not sure.

Speaker 2:

I'm not sure. So it's basically it's Dead Cells with all of the DLC, including the Castlevania.

Speaker 1:

DLC.

Speaker 2:

Included on the cart.

Speaker 1:

Okay, did you play it?

Speaker 2:

It's got a really cool on the Switch now.

Speaker 1:

Oh, okay.

Speaker 3:

That's part of my balance. Oh, he's got it on the. Xbox Okay.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'll play it on the Switch once I'm done playing it on the Xbox.

Speaker 1:

I will say that the Castlevania stuff is really cool.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

It is really neat and the music is fantastic. I mean like, yeah, it is a really good job with that.

Speaker 2:

Also, the only other game I've been playing is I started playing Resident Evil 5 with the boy Nice, and you know what? I don't know why people give Resident Evil 5 so much crap.

Speaker 3:

I love that game, you're going to have to refresh my memory which one was 5? I'm sorry.

Speaker 2:

That's with Chris and Sheva where they're in Africa. Yeah, that game's red yeah.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah. The rest of them are great.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so we've been playing the co-op. We've got his Xbox on the TV over here, I've got my Xbox on the TV over there, and then so we just like are playing and yelling at each other and stuff. It's fun watching him try to get used to the controls on an Xbox 360 game after playing Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4. With modern controls I can't turn around. No, you can. It takes a while, or you? Just have to press.

Speaker 3:

Or you got to double tap down, isn't it? Yeah, is it double tap down to do it? Yeah?

Speaker 2:

Down an A or something like that, and he'll spin around, so he died a bunch of times in that first you know that first area when you, when you get swarmed by all, the, all the zombies, and then that one dude with the sledgehammer comes out.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

You got to try to kill the guy with the megaphone. You know so.

Speaker 3:

Jimmy.

Speaker 2:

Hart. What's up, jimmy Hart? Yeah, jimmy Hart shows.

Speaker 3:

Jimmy Hart man, that's black.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, because Brother Love wasn't available.

Speaker 1:

It's right over there, that's right.

Speaker 2:

So, yeah, he got, he got. He got dead at a whole bunch of times before he started figuring out. So we're still relatively early on, we haven't we? Just we just took out the bat. There is that giant bat that's there Like it's a bat slash caterpillar or something like that.

Speaker 3:

A batapillar.

Speaker 2:

A caterpillar, Cat a catabat.

Speaker 1:

Catabat.

Speaker 2:

So so we've been having a lot of fun with that, but we're going to try to play some more this weekend, even though it's going to be tough, because this weekend, man, I'm going out of town, so I'll only have time to play on Sunday, and I've got Texas chainsaw and I've got the. Mortal Kombat beta.

Speaker 1:

Oh man, you got that too Well, yeah, so.

Speaker 2:

I don't know if I'm going to have time for anything I digress. That's what I, yeah, that's what I've been playing Nice.

Speaker 1:

For myself. I did pick up vampire survivors on the switch. Why I did pick up vampire survivors on the switch To have it on the Xbox. Yeah, I know, but I want to be able to play it on the go On the potty. Yeah, on the potty. That's what it means, he wants to play it while he goes.

Speaker 3:

He wants to play it while he goes, not go Exactly, exactly that makes.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, no, actually, I mean yeah, that too. But actually when I go out to Pax I want to like I plan to play this in the plane. It is funny to play this game from the beginning again because I'm like, oh, so I don't have anything. This is awful, but it's.

Speaker 3:

How does it run?

Speaker 1:

on the switch. Fine, it's fine.

Speaker 3:

How does it in handheld mode? Well, no, no, no, okay.

Speaker 1:

Hold on, hold on. I have not done it on handheld, I've just done it on dock. Okay, I don't know what it's like on handheld, so yeah, but if it works on cell phones?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, phil, but a cell phone is more powerful than the switch.

Speaker 2:

Oh my God, it depends on the cell phone. Bullshit you can party up on the cell phone.

Speaker 3:

Oh my God, you can call two people at the same time. You can't do that on the switch, you can't even call one.

Speaker 1:

You do have a good point there. That's actually a very good point. That's a good point. Yeah, no, I do have to try it on handheld.

Speaker 3:

That is a good point, but I mean from a visual standpoint, on the handheld too, how much you can actually see, because that screen is massive.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, metacritic gives it an 84 on the switch.

Speaker 3:

Metacritic's bullshit, wow Okay.

Speaker 2:

Roger gives it an 82 on the switch.

Speaker 3:

Roger's bullshit too.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I am.

Speaker 2:

Would, you be mad at me, phil, if I said I purchased the game, too, on the switch.

Speaker 3:

That wouldn't surprise me. I saw your switch collection. Oh yeah, that's true.

Speaker 1:

Don't admit that.

Speaker 3:

And also I wouldn't think that because it's not physical yet.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 3:

That's true.

Speaker 1:

That's true.

Speaker 3:

But it's also only $5, so everybody should actually buy it and support this company and let them put one of this stuff because it made a $5 game it's $449 right now.

Speaker 2:

Did you buy the DLC or just the game.

Speaker 1:

No, just the game. I do want to pick up the DLC, though, too. Gotcha Again, like what Phil said five bucks for this game Like that's ridiculously, insanely low for this game. It's a $6 game, easily easily. The other game, mike, I did buy because I wanted to play it, but I should have bought the Xbox version and I wasn't thinking and I bought the Switch version. I'm so sorry In hindsight, I apologize.

Speaker 3:

Can you repeat all that?

Speaker 1:

I bought the Switch version.

Speaker 3:

Mike, there's a ghost behind you there is there's a ghost behind you.

Speaker 2:

Robert, they could see your shadow. Yes, we're recording. You're fine. Now come down with a white sheet over your head.

Speaker 1:

That was awesome. Do it again Again.

Speaker 2:

They thought the base one was haunted.

Speaker 1:

I did buy Legends Bowl on the Switch and I realized I probably should have bought Xbox. I'm sorry, Mike.

Speaker 3:

I wasn't thinking when I bought it.

Speaker 1:

So you could play it as well.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, oh, I don't care, okay, well, it's a good game. This was made by former EA Madden developers. They have 32 teams, all the cities, unique stadiums. The game plays fantastic. It has a ticker on the bottom that talks about the stats that are going on. It has a franchise mode. It has a hall of fame for the franchise mode. It has records and everything.

Speaker 1:

The one thing that's so I like everything about this game because it feels like early Madden game. It feels like an early Madden game. The one thing that's weird is passing and kicking I'm used to like the kicking is the hardest one for me. I'm used to that. You hit the button, you stop your thing and then you like there's a power up, right. This one is a little arrow that goes back and forth like this. You have to stop it when you want to and then hold the X or the and I guess in the case of the Switch button it would be the B button, I don't know the A button, I don't know whatever. You hold down and then it fills up your power too. You have to it threw me off.

Speaker 3:

So it's at your C combined with power.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I was used to just you know, and then my kicker would kick up. You know a little loop. It is pretty fun when people get hurt, like their helmets go flying off and blood splatters. So it reminds me a little bit of Super Blood Hockey and a little bit that way. Yeah, so that's interesting, Is?

Speaker 1:

the ambulance come driving and run over every minute. No, I wish, yeah, it doesn't go that far. Like that was the best in that game. Oh gosh, I love that. But yeah, I mean, if you wanted to, you can go into each one of these teams and make them the real teams, like change the colors and the logos and the names and everything, if you wanted to. I have no need to do that, because I think it's just as fun playing this game. There was one character that was Jack Dakota and I was like, oh, is that like supposed to be like Joe Montana? But instead of Joe Montana it was Jack Dakota. It was pretty fun, it's pretty neat, it's a neat game and it's, I think, it's like 25, I think, but I think it's on sale right now because it's, I think, 20% off 21 bucks for the next 10 days.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm enjoying it. I've completed two games now in the season. Yeah, the two things that just threw me off was the passing too. The passing is the same way you hit the button and you had to hold it down for your strength and then so it's either a lob if you let it go right away, or if you hold it down halfway through. Then it's like standard pass and then there's a bullet pass, but if you hold it too long and overpowers, it starts going back and then your character just like whiffs it, and so it's an interesting. I kind of like that concept. Yeah, it's different, though it takes a little bit to get used to. The passing wasn't as bad as the kicking. That just because my mind is just so used to doing the X and the.

Speaker 3:

X Click, click, click.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, the other thing I will say is, when you kick off, you are facing, the team is on top, so you kick off. It's usually flips it around where you're kicking off and you're going up, right, isn't it? Doesn't it usually have?

Speaker 3:

so it plays vertically and not horizontally.

Speaker 2:

You place like it plays like mad, it plays like Madden, it doesn't play like tech mobile.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it doesn't play like tech mobile. Yeah, so when you kick off the ball, I guess maybe when you're on the defensive side, when you're kicking the ball does. It is most games, I don't remember. Is it that you are your teams on the bottom? It?

Speaker 2:

spins around. It usually spins around. Yeah, you want to bottom all yeah, it doesn't do that. I remember in those games, like in at least the more modern football games, when you get an interception the game pauses.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, does the matrix.

Speaker 1:

Even even when you intercept the ball, it doesn't. It doesn't spin. It's you just now coming towards the bottom of the screen? Oh, in what you're playing? Defense here on top. So offense is always on top, on the bottom.

Speaker 2:

So if you're playing off, I say the same thing to my wife. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

You know the power bottom generates all of the energy.

Speaker 2:

You got that wrong. The pot, the power bottom, is capable of delivering immense amount of power. I Know, I know where you're going with that.

Speaker 1:

Oh my god, when you're on offense, rather, whether or not the computer or the offense is always on bottom and the defense is always on top.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so defense is always on top.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I don't know Is it easy to penetrate the line.

Speaker 1:

If it actually when you play defense, it is actually Okay. Okay, I will say the cool like if you are a person that likes mechanics and like playing a football game there, every button has some, some kind of mechanics, like there's a spin button, there is a, there's a right and a left hand. What do you, oh my god, can you do me a favor, roger.

Speaker 2:

Can you tell me about your tight end?

Speaker 1:

Oh my god, Actually my tight end is very good. Um Stiff arm that's. Oh my god.

Speaker 3:

I want to hear more.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah you can do both right and left for the stiff arm, if you.

Speaker 3:

Believe your extra is with your step army yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, and then you can hold down the a button to do a burst of speed where your character just runs necessary sometimes.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

That is a legend ball. Legend ball that's right. It's a football game. It's a football game, yeah we're talking about video games. Yeah, this isn't. Was that game? Hentai world tour.

Speaker 3:

That was a good time to piss me off, I know.

Speaker 1:

So those, oh, and then the other game I'll just mention. Real good, I've mentioned this before, but I played more split to you and they had a split tune Splatfest this past weekend. Did you play that after legend ball by any chance? Oh my god.

Speaker 3:

Like this happen in the middle yeah.

Speaker 1:

No, I did. Yeah, my team did not win overall, I picked love. It was like the most important thing in the in Keep giving. It was money, fame or love, and money won. So the best things in life are free. I guess we can leave those to the birds and bees.

Speaker 2:

Really.

Speaker 1:

What? That's a quote from our song.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, but you're still talking birds and bees man. Yeah, that's true of the point.

Speaker 1:

Let's move on then. What is what are we got going on next? Oh, I guess Are we. Are we going? This is? This is yes. Our final segment is tails from the e-shop. This is the segment that we make Phil play a game. We stick it to the man. This week we gave him the game green hell, mike you want to tell us about green hell.

Speaker 2:

Green hell is. Yep, that was gonna say that's the first level in Sonic Green hell. Okay, here we go. Here's the description. You are left alone in the jungle without any food or equipment, trying to survive and find your way out, clinging to life.

Speaker 2:

The player is set on a journey of durability, as the effects of Solitude where heavily not only on the body but also the mind. How long can you survive against the dangers of the unknown? On this journey, you won't get any help from the outside world, equipped with only your bare hands. You'll have to learn actual survival techniques to build shelters, to make tools and craft weapons In order to hunt and defend yourself. Constantly threatened by the jungle, you'll fight with both wild animals and tropical sicknesses. Players will also have to face the traps set by your own mind and fears that crawl in the darkness of the endless jungle.

Speaker 2:

You are thrown deep into the emerald and impenetrable Amazonian rainforest, the green hell. Your goal is to survive in the depths of a nightmarish environment, using truly intuitive means to escape, having only a radio at your disposal. You will follow the familiar voice of a loved one through this endless and inhospitable jungle, unvailing bit by bit. How you got there in the first place, what you discover will be worse than what you fought so hard against to survive. Game pillars, realistic survival sim, use of true survival techniques, including starting fires, camp building, animal traps, construction, sourcing and composing objects allowing for survival, including weapons and tools, food sourcing, hunting and cropping. Wound disease and other injuries treatment, depending on the situation. Green hell, I'm gonna apologize, phil. I thought that this was a different game. There's another like survival horror game when you're in the jungle and, like at night, like the natives come out and try to kill you and I now for the life.

Speaker 2:

I cannot remember that game that happens in this too. Oh, okay, Well then have at it.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, first and foremost, this game is not for me, because I'm not big into the crafting, simulator type of world. There's three different, three or four different ways you can play the game. There's story mode, which is what I spent all of my time with, and there's just straight-up survival mode and then there's like freeform mode and I think that's about it. I'd, like I said, only played through story mode, where it's yourself and your significant other I believe her name is Mia who are going to this island because she wants to become indoctrined I'm gonna use that phrase, it's probably wrong or word by the locals and she speaks some Spanish and you're on some kind of a Spanish island slash country type of a place and you get there day one and you find camp and you start setting up camp and it gives you the basic success to what's going on, at which point you have to gather enough sticks to build a fire, you have to build a tool to build the fire or to make the fire with after the fire is built, and then you got to start harvesting and collecting plants. That way you can heal yourself and things like that, because she then goes on to go talk to the tribe and she disappears and she's like radio contacts going to be minimal because they don't really like technology.

Speaker 3:

They're native, primitive people. And you go to climb up a cliff, your rope breaks on you, you fall down and you get a big booboo on your elbow and you got to fix it. And then you get a weird radio message, 32 days in or so, that says something along the lines of I need you to wake up, I need you to come help me, you need to get camp right away. Which point you start sprinting. You get attacked by the. I'm going to call them natives because they don't have a better term. I'm sorry.

Speaker 2:

They're native to the island. Why are they not natives?

Speaker 3:

That's kind of my thoughts too and at which point, like your radio gets knocked out, you lose everything that you had, because you had like a machete and a bunch of other stuff and now you're going to start foraging for yourself. So you're building yourself your shelter, you're building, you're going to start killing for food and stuff like that. I didn't really progress super much further than that because, again, just crafting games are not my wheelhouse, not my jam. They just bore me, like I was even bored when all the exciting stuff was happening. If you're into crafting, I'm sure it's a great game and a wonderful like style of that kind of game, but it's just not. It's not for me.

Speaker 1:

And I tried.

Speaker 3:

I probably played it for about an hour or so and I was just like I can't do this, it's it's. It does nothing for me and I don't know if it's my lack of imagination or creativity, but I mean, it seems like there's an awful lot of depth to it and you your character does take notes that you can pull up in the notebook In order to heal yourself. You got to pull up like different body parts and like apply whatever kind of salve or bandage that you've crafted out of the native leaves and things like that. It seems like it's pretty well in depth and the story is actually decent enough. The voice acting is pretty spot on the music's I did.

Speaker 3:

I don't even remember hearing music, so it might not have been there. I might have just been in my little happy not happy zone, but like just kind of zoned out of the entire thing. The controls are a little bit sluggish, which is one of my complaints to it, but I could. I could see if you're into crafting games, you could probably get into this game pretty quick. Where I couldn't, because I'm it's not my style of game. It'd be like giving me a deck builder, a JRPG, where I'm just going to be like. I can see how people would enjoy this, but it's it's not. It's not for me.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Is this? Is this like third person, first person, like what is first person? It's first person.

Speaker 3:

It's first person. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 3:

And like graphically it looks great graphically, like there's there's nothing to bitch about graphically and, like I said, the controls, aside from being sluggish like they're spot on but there's to do, almost anything is a two to three button combination of different things and or scrolling through menus where, like my, mental capacity doesn't remember how to do stuff like that very quickly.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Mike, you look like you got something.

Speaker 2:

No.

Speaker 3:

I'm just listening, Gotcha. Like I said, I'm sure if you're into like crafting games, it's a very enjoyable experience. It it feels like the $25 game that it is. I don't know and I can't compare it to anything else because I haven't really played anything else of this genre because I know that it doesn't excite me but to get a $50, go ahead.

Speaker 2:

Was it ever like at any point, kind of scary or intense there's?

Speaker 3:

definitely some intense moments, yeah, like when nighttime creeps around. You can start hearing the natives around you, like it gets a little bit more intense feeling. And there's wild animals that you're kind of dodging the entire time too, and they, they don't really come into play until after the tutorial. The tutorial just teaches you the basics as to how to build craft and whatever. It's an interesting concept, but it's just it's. It's. It's not for me, it's not your, yeah, not my can of beer.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's not your power. Bottom.

Speaker 1:

All right, mike. What do you have for him this week?

Speaker 2:

Well, I'm not going to give the whole description because it's a long description, and I'm going to say this Roger, you already gave the description of this game. Phil, I am assigning you legend bowl. That's door number one. Now here's the thing Legend bowl is $24 or $21, but I just discovered that there was a free demo on the switch. You cannot play this on the Xbox. I don't care if there's a demo on the Xbox. You have to play this on the switch Unless unless there's a demo at the Xbox you didn't know.

Speaker 2:

No, no, no, it's got to be the switch that's the rule.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 2:

So you decided to go. What's behind door number two? But yeah, legend bowl is everything that Roger just said it was, but I'm really curious to hear as many opinions on it as possible. So this is kind of like this is your way of saying should I buy this game?

Speaker 3:

Yes, Obviously, I do enjoy sports games, so I'll stick with legend bowl just to check it out and see what it's what it's all about. I'm curious how long the demo weighs and where it's going to cut me off. Yeah, it's just going to be a quick one and done, or like a quarter worth of play. I don't know. We'll find out.

Speaker 1:

Yeah Cool.

Speaker 2:

But this just means this? Just means that next week I'm going to give you just an actual crap game. Just throw it out there. It's fun. I got to balance out the scales, yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's like. It's like, yeah, exactly, that's right, you tell me this game sucks, then yeah, I won't have a choice. Yeah, yeah, cool. I'm interested to hear what you have to think about it, because and Phil, you can go in and change some of the settings, so, but it's just that's not the way that they wanted you to play it.

Speaker 3:

But I'll play the way that it's meant to be played. That's why they tend to play everything until, like, I realized that there's a me way of playing things as well. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, cool, all right, before we head out, then, let's tell the good people how they can find us. Phil, how can people find you on social media? You can find me at Bino23 on the Twitter's. And Mike, how can people find you?

Speaker 2:

I was young and needed the money, yeah.

Speaker 1:

It was a pure moment of my life.

Speaker 3:

You know it was a pure Gotcha gotcha. Yeah, Just that maybe your bias was showing for a handful of seconds.
